ABS: We need your ideas before the National Forum

2 July 2010, 4:36pm
Get heard! Get heard!

The CPSU is calling for all Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) members to send us your ideas on how to fix the serious issues raised in the recent staff survey. An Extraordinary National Forum will be held on 28 July addressing issues raised by the survey. CPSU would like to hear your views so we can deliver them to the Forum.

A good opportunity to be heard

The CPSU is in a unique position to represent the opinions of its members, and staff in the ABS. This is an opportunity to provide genuine feedback securely.

Send us your feedback

Please email us at CPSU_SC_WDB@abs.gov.au. We need your responses by Friday, 16 July.

The CPSU’s involvement in the July National Forum will be the first step in assisting ABS management to improve staff satisfaction in the Bureau, so your contribution is appreciated.

DPC about to grow again – the CPSU is helping

The CPSU negotiating team has been working on fair pay and conditions for the influx of non-ongoing workers about to join the Data Processing Centre (DPC).

We are confident that negotiations over the determination are nearing completion. It wasn’t easy negotiating on behalf of employees that aren’t engaged yet, so well done to the negotiating team Paul Tulett (ABS SA), Greg Platt (ABS Vic), Mariette O’Connell (ABS ACT) and CPSU advocate Peter Feltham.

Member benefits

When you join the CPSU you’re helping us to create fair pay and conditions at ABS.

CPSU members don’t just get expert workplace representation as part of their membership. There is a whole range of benefits from discounted home loans to shopping discounts.

Joining is easy. You can join securely online or call our Member Services Centre on 1300 137 636.
