CPSU has notified FWA that we are in dispute

16 May 2012, 10:49am

The dispute is about FWA acting in a manner that is inconsistent with the provisions of your Enterprise Agreement including the decision to definitely commence an EOI program but failing to consult with you and your CPSU representatives before commencing this Expression of Interest Process (EOI) process.

CPSU Supports an EOI process for Voluntary Redundancy

The CPSU supports an EOI process for Voluntary Redundancy (VR) however our analysis suggests employees interested in a VR appear to be getting short changed in terms of their payout by a number of the conditions FWA seeks to impose.

Your CPSU representatives will be meeting with FWA management this Thursday morning to begin to work through the issues you have raised including:

  • a genuine consultation process
  • timely and adequate information
  • how essential services will continue to be delivered to the Australian Public under the proposed structure
  • alternatives to the cuts proposed

Your CPSU delegates are also preparing for team based consultations to collect your feedback about the FWA proposal. All feedback will be collated and presented to FWA for their consideration and response. All staff are encouraged to attend. If you’re not sure when your team meeting will be taking place contact your local CPSU Delegate.

To support our campaign for fair and transparent workplace and no involuntary redundancies at FWA join CPSU today.
