CPSU will be conducting a national round of paid time meetings from September 17 to seek your feedback on Integrity Implementation.
Topics covered will include:
The requirement to report a colleague’s misconduct
The requirement to declare interests outside your employment, including
memberships, volunteer work etc
CEO powers to terminate your employment without appeal due to a loss of
confidence
Random drug and alcohol testing
“Sting” operations designed to test an officer’s integrity
Integrity matters – but not at the expense of your rights
Don’t miss a key opportunity to have your say. The proposed changes could
have a significant impact on Australian Customs and Border Protection Officers
and staff need to:
Be aware of what the changes are and the potential ramifications
Learn about what protections CPSU is seeking for our members
Provide feedback on the proposed changes so your union is armed with
substantial information to take back to both your employer and the Ministers
