Integrity matters - meetings in your Customs workplace soon

4 September 2012, 9:09am

CPSU will be conducting a national round of paid time meetings from September 17 to seek your feedback on Integrity Implementation.

Topics covered will include:

  • The requirement to report a colleague’s misconduct
  • The requirement to declare interests outside your employment, including memberships, volunteer work etc
  • CEO powers to terminate your employment without appeal due to a loss of confidence
  • Random drug and alcohol testing
  • “Sting” operations designed to test an officer’s integrity

Integrity matters – but not at the expense of your rights

Don’t miss a key opportunity to have your say. The proposed changes could have a significant impact on Australian Customs and Border Protection Officers and staff need to:

  • Be aware of what the changes are and the potential ramifications
  • Learn about what protections CPSU is seeking for our members
  • Provide feedback on the proposed changes so your union is armed with substantial information to take back to both your employer and the Ministers Office

Meeting commence on September 17

Shortly CPSU will provide you with a meeting schedule.Meetings are on paid time and you are entitled to be released to attend. Please ensure you come along and have your say.
