Medibank bargaining survey - do it now!

14 September 2012, 11:19am

Just as Medibank is committed to better health, the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) is committed to better workplaces.

We do this by supporting our members to work together to secure above average pay and conditions. And you too can be involved!

1. Fill out our survey and ask your colleagues to do it too

All Medibank Private staff (you don’t need to be a member) are invited to tell us what you like about your workplace and what needs improving. By participating in our 2012 survey, you are helping us to prepare for the upcoming re-negotiation of the Medibank PHI Enterprise Agreement as well as identifying workplace issues that need addressing. All individual responses are confidential, only aggregate results will be released.

Your active support will be required if we are to secure a new collective agreement that:

  • protects current conditions
  • helps you to achieve a balance between work and family life
  • improves pay and superannuation
  • ensures employees are properly consulted and treated with respect

DO OUR ONLINE SURVEY HERE: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Medibank_bargaining

2. Seek independent advice about your employment

Whether you’re on the collective agreement, a common law contract or don’t know much at all about your employment terms, contact the CPSU to better understand your employment arrangements and rights. We have a network of workplace delegates committed to representing the interests of members across Medibank. CPSU contact details are below.

3. Become involved and show your commitment to a better workplace

You can be as active in the union as you want. You can provide updates to your colleagues, seek their feedback or just stay informed by attending meetings or talking to your local delegate. Becoming a CPSU member shows you’re committed to a better workplace through supporting your union. And the more members we have, the more negotiating power for you!

Union membership is confidential, it only costs $8-$12 per week and is tax deductible. It also gives you access to shopper discounts and member-only services.
