Loud and clear - over 70% of CRS staff choose a union CA

7 April 2008, 2:56pm
Now that we have your attention... let's negotiate a decent agreement Now that we have your attention... let's negotiate a decent agreement

Your choice sends the clear message for Management to listen and take you seriously. You’ve made the right decision; all the data shows union collective agreements deliver better pay and conditions for all staff.

The CPSU would like to thank every member for sharing your views, talking with your colleagues and participating in meetings across the country. Congratulations and welcome to all those who’ve joined the union in the past fortnight, you are making a difference.

What have you just won?

Your decision creates the first real opportunity for you to have a genuine say in your pay, conditions, and rights in 10 years. The CPSU is committed to working with you to get the outcomes you want. By working together you’ve won an excellent opportunity to get genuine improvements in your pay, conditions, and rights. Your choice

  • Means a genuine say over pay, conditions, and rights
  • Ensures genuine bargaining (not just consultation)
  • Delivers CPSU's bargaining experts working to get the best pay, conditions and rights for you
  • Creates an agreement your union can legally enforce.

How do we get the best outcome in bargaining?

You’ve proven that by standing by what you believe in management have to take you seriously. We know there are lots of workplace issues to address. If we are going to secure the pay, conditions, and rights you want we need to be well organised and have strong union membership.

Experience shows us by working with and through your union we can ensure your views are heard and taken seriously by management. You need to

  • Join your union
  • Keep supporting each other in the units and regions
  • Share views and information in and across regions through union meetings and hook-ups
  • Contribute to the upcoming CPSU bargaining survey
  • Become a campaign volunteer in your unit

What is your union doing? • Meeting with Management to set out process for bargaining and communication with you • Helping CPSU volunteers get organised in preparation for bargaining.

Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who phoned, faxed etc regarding the CRS Australia Certified Agreement - 70% of staff voted for a Union Negotiated CA, which is a great result.

Thanks again...
