Infrastructure - consultation begins over proposed office closures
6 June 2008, 10:57am
CPSU has met with and written to the department seeking a commitment to genuine consultation on its proposed office closures.
Genuine consultation means the views of staff and alternatives to the office closures are genuinely considered before any final decision is made. This representation was made after staff questioned management’s application of the collective agreement when they announced that four regional development offices would close without allowing staff opportunity to have their views heard and considered. The department has indicated that it will be responding to the union following Monday’s Executive meeting. CPSU now needs to know what you think and what alternatives you want to be considered.
