Efficiency Dividend? AIATSIS deserves more!

23 June 2008, 1:05pm

Your chance to be heard

The Rudd Government has opened an inquiry into the effects its ‘razor-gang’ budget has had on small agencies, such as AIATSIS, and their ability to carry out important work.

The AIATSIS budget has been squeezed over the last decade, and the application of the efficiency dividend is a lazy cost cutting measure that doesn’t acknowledge the value of the hard work you do.

CPSU is making a submission to the inquiry to defend the needs of small agencies; for that we want to hear your say about how the efficiency dividend is affecting you.

Tell us your stories about what the efficiency dividend is doing to AIATSIS; be it increases to your workload, colleagues being made redundant or programs being cancelled. Every piece of feedback we get will help us fight the negative effects of the efficiency dividend on AIATSIS.

We are interested to hear how it affects you. Please tell us in participating to our survey: https://www.cpsusurveys.org.au/EDS.asp
