7 October 2008, 7:33am
After extensive submissions and representations by the ACTU, the Australian Fair Pay Commission has made a decision on minimum wages that will affect employees on award-based rates of pay.
The flat increase of $21.66 per week will take effect from 1 October 2008.
For CPSU members working on a “casual” basis for Labour Hire companies at
Telstra this will mean an increase of approx. $27.08 per week.
If you work afternoon or morning shifts you are entitled to a further 15% in
addition to the casual rate.
