Win for ABC Retail staff Strong action by the CPSU in Fair Work Australia (FWA) has given ABC retail staff the capacity to bargain together for a new collective agreement. Before the FWA hearing ABC management were insisting staff had to use individual contracts. Totally sick - Tax staff have their say With ATO management looking to change attendance management arrangements, the CPSU recently surveyed 2700 tax staff. Among the many interesting results was the fact that 81% of respondents have come to work while unwell, but 75% of them felt less productive as a result. CPSU members in Telstra reject offer CPSU members in Telstra have voted to reject a draft enterprise agreement. Members have rejected the proposed agreement because it reduces existing redundancy and redeployment arrangements - worth several thousands dollars - and fails to guarantee a pay rise for all employees. Customs members discuss new integrity testing proposal Customs members around the country are meeting this month to discuss the introduction of new ‘integrity testing' measures. While supporting sensible moves to enhance the integrity of the service, CPSU members strongly reject the premise that corruption is widespread in Customs. Members have raised significant concerns about the proposals which include the use of undercover ‘sting' operations to test officers' integrity and random drug and alcohol testing.
