Ian Weaver with CPSU Assistant National Secretary Mark Gepp and Union Shopper's Lisa Ippolito
Protective Service Officer (PSO) and CPSU member Ian Weaver recently won $2000 after using the Union Shopper service to buy a new car.
The Union Shopper Motor Market division ran a competition from October ‘07 to March ‘08 whereby any associated union member who enquired about a new vehicle scored 1 point into the draw. Purchasing a vehicle got you 50 points into the draw.
When the draw was made, Ian, who has been a PSO and CPSU member for more than 20 years, was told he was the $2000 winner. The cheque was presnted by CPSU Assistant National Secretary, Mark Gepp and and Union Shopper's Lisa Ippolito.
“I found the great thing with Union Shopper is that they did all the work,” said a delighted Ian.
“I told them the model of the car I wanted and they made all the calls to find me the best deal. They even saved me time and money by having the car delivered to my home. Then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I received a phone call to let me know I won $2000 just for the enquiry! Thanks Union Shopper,” he said.
