Thursday 1 September is a union Day of Action to lose the freeze and restore genuine pay rises to the NTPS.

NTPS workers are standing together and supporting those public service workers taking industrial action to end the wage freeze, with rallies in Darwin and Alice Springs.

If you don't live nearby or can't make it on the day you can still be part of the Day of Action by  WEARING RED TO WORK  on 1 September.

Correctional Officers and Teachers are taking protected industrial action stopping work, and Fire Fighters have work bans in place. Power and Water and Territory Generation workers are applying now to take industrial action. Other groups of workers will be joining in taking action soon.

If you are in Darwin or Alice Springs you can show your support on 1 September by attending your local Day of Action rally

Come along any time between 9am and 5:30pm to NT Parliament House in Darwin or the Civic Centre Lawns in Alice Springs.

We have prepared Day of Action flyers you can hand out or display in your workplaces and communities.

Any changes to the NT Government’s wages policy will flow through to those on the NTPS General Agreement. Together we can all win.
