Would you support an agreement that gives no guarantees on pay?

YES NO

Bargaining under the Government's new policy has begun in Members of Parliament Staff (MoPS), PM&C, NIAA and Sports Integrity Australia.

Central to the Government's policy are pay increases tied to the private sector Wage Price Index (WPI) which means staff are asked to vote without knowing what the pay rise might be. The latest applicable figure is 1.7% and trending down.

When presented with an Enterprise Agreement with question marks instead of pay increases, MoPS staff which includes the Coalition’s own staffers, said NO and rejected mystery pay deals.

If you’ve got future pay rises locked in through an existing EA or determination, they continue to apply... but when the time comes for you to bargain, you and your colleagues would be subject to this policy too.
