APS Review recommendations

The Independent Review of the Australian Public Service (APS Review) has finally been released and includes some 40 recommendations.

The CPSU has long advocated for some of the key changes reflected in the recommendations of the review including abolishing the Average Staffing Level (ASL cap), investing in the APS, and implementing standardised pay and conditions across the Service.

The Morrison Government has instead rejected these and other key recommendations, flaunting its disregard for its own report, public servants and the public services that Australians rely on.

This summary document provides further information and analysis on key aspects of the Review and the Morrison Government’s response to each of the 40 recommendations.
