DAWR Inspection Services Group staff

Our survey is for all staff in Inspection Services Group (ISG) who are, or have been, conducting inspections on shipping containers and fumigated goods.

Union HSRs have issued Cease Unsafe Work directions to stop inspections of containers treated with Sulfuryl Fluoride (SF) because current hazardous gas detection and measuring equipment are not capable of detecting SF. These directions are still in force – all workers and managers are required to follow this direction.

The purpose of the survey is to gather information on the work practices and safety systems used in each ISG regional workgroup and workplace. HSRs and CPSU representatives will then use this information to secure safe systems of work to protect workers from uncontrolled exposure to the hazardous gas Sulfuryl Fluoride.

Your privacy is assured. No names or identifying information are released to third parties or the department and you can view the CPSU privacy policy here.

The online survey closes at 5pm on Monday 21 January 2019.
