Department of Jobs and Small Business CPSU Bargaining team
We are calling for expressions of interest from members to establish a CPSU Bargaining Team for negotiation of a replacement Enterprise Agreement in the Department of Jobs and Small Business. We are looking to have a CPSU Bargaining Team comprised of 2-3 staff members and a CPSU Industrial Advocate.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your negotiation and communication skills, while demonstrating strong corporate contribution to the future direction of your workplace.
We are seeking CPSU members who:
- Have a demonstrated understanding of CPSU values and union principles;
- Understand that their role is to represent the views of members and not necessarily their own;
- Are able to clearly and concisely present agreed CPSU positions during negotiations and/or through campaign communications;
- Have an understanding of the needs of Department of Jobs and Small Business members and Department of Jobs and Small Business Enterprise Agreement and policies;
Bargaining team members will work with a CPSU Industrial Advocate and the CPSU National Organiser for the Department of Jobs and Small Business. They will also work closely with the Department of Jobs and Small Business delegates group.
Prior experience on previous bargaining teams, consultative committees or as a CPSU delegate may assist your nomination, though it is not essential.
If interested, you should send through a brief Expression of Interest to Madison.Harju@cpsu.org.au outlining why you feel you are suited to take up this opportunity by Friday 21 September. Please call Madison on 02 6220 9625 if you have any questions.
