ISU/NFU information

Helpful out-of-office information from the National Finance Unit and Information Systems Unit.

Procedure for a lost or stolen MasterCard

If your CPSU MasterCard is lost or stolen you need to Westpac.

  • The contact number is 1300 650 107
  • Select option 2 then option 0 then press #

You will be asked to identify yourself. You can also quote the CPSU facility number which is 00069794.

Please also contact Marny Hilson to let her know. She can follow up your new card if required.

Procedure for a lost or stolen BlackBerry or mobile

You should make every effort to immediately report a lost or stolen Blackberry/mobile handset.

Outside of business hours, you need to call Telstra on 1800 730 062. Inform them that the handset has been lost/stolen and ask them to bar voice calls, disable internet access and disable sending/receiving emails. Report the incident to ISU Helpdesk the next business day.

During business hours report the loss/theft to the ISU Helpdesk on 03 8620 6375. You will also need to fill out the Lost/Stolen Equipment Form, which is available on the ISU intranet page.

Out of office access to email

Staff can access email from any internet browser in the world. However, that there are security considerations when using a public computer. You must log in and out in a way that will not allow other users of that computer to access our system.

  1. Click here to go to webmail.

  2. A popup box similar to the one shown below will appear. You will need to enter your username in the following format: cpsu\firstname.surname. Enter your password. Do NOT tick the Remember my password box.

  3. To properly logout so that other users cannot get access to our system, click the LogOff icon on the Outlook Web access

  4. Then click the Close button on the next screen.

Security on public computers

  • Ensure that you are not being overlooked while entering your username and password.
  • Do not leave the computer unattended while you are logged in.
  • Log out when you are finished - don't simply close the browser window. To log out, choose the "Shortcuts" tab - the log out icon will then be at the bottom left of your screen.

Access to terminal services from home computers

The instructions for setting up a remote desktop connection are on the help desk information page on the intranet, under the heading "Webmail, remote access and internet security".
