DIAC to extend Wednesday hours from 8 October - 7 October 2008
On 1 October management announced that DIAC offices will be opening on Wednesday afternoons from 8 October. Your union has been able to negotiate a form of words which gives staff some protections under the new arrangements.

DIAC NSCF September report back - 18 September 2008
Your union representatives met with DIAC management on 11 and 12 September for the third NSCF of 2008. A number of key issues were discussed including: a productivity update including unscheduled absence, performance development agreements, Comcare reporting, staff survey; 457 centres of excellence, and National Office / Overseas network cutbacks.

Wednesday afternoon openings – DIAC staff overwhelmingly endorse CPSU position - 16 September 2008
Based on extensive discussion with affected employees in Service Delivery Areas, your union drafted a Memorandum of Understanding seeking a number of assurances from DIAC to minimise the impact of the extension on staff.

DIAC staff seek assurances around office openings - 26 August 2008
Your union has finalised its first round of paid time meetings with employees affected by the Department’s proposal to extend service delivery hours in all STO’s.

Accessing unplanned leave in DIAC TIS - 26 August 2008
TIS union members have reported management is continuing to treat staff poorly around unplanned leave. This includes staff being told their contract may not be renewed due to having taken minimal unplanned leave.
