We Care - Medicare

The Minister for Human Services has announced a program of reforms to redesign Commonwealth Government service delivery to the community.

Medicare and Centrelink will move into the Department of Human Services, there will be more colocations and the speed of change is set to quicken in coming months.

The union's We Care campaign will focus on:

  • addressing the risks
  • making sure members voices are heard when decisions are made and
  • also taking the important opportunities change will bring to close the gap between our Medicare members' pay and conditions when compared to other APS agencies.
