IWD 2010

CPSU celebrates International Women's Day 2010!

See the Events section below for details of CPSU and other events planned for IWD in each state and territory.

 What Women Want

The CPSU has released the results of the What Women Want survey in time for International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration which are being held around the country over the next week or so.

This year a whopping 9,504 women completed the What Women Want survey which asked a comprehensive set of questions about the experiences of women in in the workplace.

IWD celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women and the event raises awareness of the issues women continue to struggle with in the workplace, home and society.

The CPSU is committed to representing women members and fighting for their rights and the survey is a vital tool to find out from women what really matters to them. The CPSU will use the results of the survey to shape union policy and to push for greater equity in the workplace.
