Compo - your rights at risk

New legislation has radically reduced your right to decent workers' compensation.

Background

Under new Government legislation it has become much harder for injured workers with stress claims to get the compensation support they need to get back to work. The new legislation also removes the right to claim workers' compensation for injuries sustained travelling to and from work; during lunch and other breaks, and while participating in most lunch-time sporting activities.

We believe the Government is using the Safety, Rehabilitation, Compensation and Other Legislation Amendment Bill simply to cut costs, rather than taking positive steps to ensure public sector workers work in a safe and healthy environment.
