CPSU has negotiated with management an agreement making process that creates real opportunities for you to be involved, informed and represented.
Also agreed was a negotiation timetable aimed at delivering a new agreement
by 30 June 2009 – to ensure no delay in pay increases.
What was agreed
CPSU meetings on work time in November – for you to tell CPSU what you
want in a new agreement.
Regular CPSU meetings on work time during negotiations – keeping you
informed and involved.
Time for CPSU delegates to consult with employees – making sure your
workplace is represented.
Access for all staff to CPSU web site and email up dates – allowing real
time news and feedback.

Consultation with staff to develop a bargaining positions
December
Further development of bargaining position. Initial meeting with
employer.
January
Ballot to endorse bargaining position. First round of negotiations.
February
Second round negotiations. CPSU report back meetings for all staff.
March
Third and fourth round of negotiations. CPSU email updates and
feedback.
April
CPSU report back meetings for all staff. Further and final
negotiations if required.
May
CPSU meetings to consider proposed draft agreement.
June
Final processes to make a new agreement.
