New delegates get lots of support from other CPSU leaders in the workplace New delegates get lots of support from other CPSU leaders in the workplace
Become a CPSU workplace delegate.

Are you friendly, open and approachable? This is your chance to get involved in helping your workmates and make a difference.

CPSU delegates are people who:

  • Care about their workmates and their work environment
  • Help solve problems at work
  • Provide information and advice to colleagues
  • Welcome new members to the union
  • Support campaigns for a fair, safe and flexible workplace
  • Represent their workplace
  • Make a difference

Have you got what it takes?

Skills, training and confidence

CPSU delegates are provided with the training and support to perform their role in a confident and professional manner.

Becoming a delegate is a great way to develop your communication, problem solving and negotiation skills – giving you confidence at work and beyond.

In large workplaces CPSU delegates work together as a delegates committee. New delegates get lots of support from other CPSU leaders in the workplace.

Take a positive step

The position generally lasts for one year and full training is provided. If there are a more nominations than positions available an election is held.

Women, indigenous members, people with a disability and members from non-English speaking backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

For more information download the About CPSU delegates brochure. You can also fill in our online expression of interest form  or contact the local CPSU organiser in your area.
