The ACTU is the peak organisation representing unions nationally in Australia and internationally around the world. The ACTU is made up of 46 unions and represents around two million Australian workers, which is around 20% of the full-time workforce. CPSU is affiliated to the ACTU.

ACTU Worksite provides students with help and information for assignments, work experience and first jobs.
Australian People for Health, Education and Development Abroad (APHEDA) was created in 1984 as the overseas aid agency of the Australian Council of Trade Unions. It was established to contribute directly to countries and regions of the world where men and women workers are disadvantaged through poverty, a lack of workplace, denial of labour and human rights, civil conflict and war. Union Aid Abroad is committed to justice and solidarity and to self reliance, not charity. It builds self-reliance through support to educational and training projects for workers and their organisatons in Southeast Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East, Southern Africa and the Caribbean. Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA is supported by individual union members, the ACTU, unions, workplaces, AusAID and the Australian public.
The ILO is the international organisation responsible for drawing up and overseeing international labour standards. It is the only 'tripartite' United Nations agency that brings together representatives of governments, employers and workers to jointly shape policies and programs promoting decent work for all. This unique arrangement gives the ILO an edge in incorporating 'real world' knowledge about employment and work.
UNI Global Union is the voice of 20 million service sector workers around the world. Through 900 affiliated unions, UNI represents workers in 150 countries and in every region of the world. UNI represents workers in the Cleaning and Security; Commerce; Finance; Gaming; Graphical and Packaging; Hair and Beauty; ICTS; Media, Entertainment and Arts; Post and Logistics; Social Insurance; Sport; Temp and Agency Workers and Tourism industries.  CPSU is affiliated to UNI.

Public Services International brings together more than 20 million workers, represented by 650 unions in 148 countries and territories. PSI is a global trade union federation dedicated to promoting quality public services in every part of the world. PSI members, two-thirds of whom are women, work in social services, health care, municipal and community services, central government, and public utilities such as water and electricity. CPSU is affiliated to PSI.
