The CPSU is calling for
nominations from people interested in playing an active, leading role in their union.
Workplace delegates are the face of the CPSU in workplaces. They are the trusted voice of union
members, the standard bearer of union values and the go-to on questions and concerns about work
from union members. Without union delegates, there is no union
CPSU delegates are people who:
- Are the face and voice of union
members in their workplace
- Care about their workplace and their
colleagues
- Help to solve problems at work
- Provide information and advice to
colleagues
- Welcome new members to the union
Got what it takes?
New CPSU delegates are provided development opportunities and ongoing support to perform their role in
a confident and professional manner.
Becoming a delegate is a great way to develop your communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
Your term lasts for one year, with most delegates continuing for further terms.
Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with a disability and members from culturally
and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to nominate.
