Fixed-term positions are to cover permanent staff on leave and acting in higher duties positions or temporary transfer. Over 80% of organisers employed on fixed-term roles convert to ongoing employment as permanent positions become available.

Overview: Field organiser

The primary function of this role is to develop and implement effective campaigns and strategies to assist members to bring about positive change in their workplaces.

There is a strong emphasis on recruiting members and developing members, delegates and workplace leaders.

Overview: MSC organiser

The primary function of this role is to provide information, support, advice and representation to members on issues that affect their working lives.

This position has the potential for career development to a workplace organising role. A comprehensive training program is provided.

Overview: Regional Organising Support

The primary function of the role is to provide organising/administration support to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the regional office.

Successful candidates will be highly organised, with solid experience in administration support. They will have an excellent work ethic, a can-do attitude and enjoy working in a team environment.
