As well as fighting to protect and improve your jobs, pay and workplace rights, CPSU members can often be found making a difference in the broader NT community. Whether it’s showing solidarity for military veterans or collecting food and toys for folks doing it tough, CPSU member are happy to lend a hand where we can. Below are some recent examples. Foodbank


In November 2022 the CPSU helped co-ordinate a foodbank collection which saw more than 300kg of food collected from around a dozen workplaces around the NT on behalf of the good folk at Foodbank NT


Toy Drive for Flood victims


Early 2023 numerous remote NT communities had been devastated by flooding. Lead by CPSU organisers Dawn McQuilkin and Eli Morris, CPSU made and collected toys from both APS and NTPS workplaces and drove the toys to Katherine NT where they were distributed to impacted families.
 

Walking off the war within


Walking off the war within is a charity walk for veterans. The CPSU was proud to support this cause by participating in the walk and by giving and encouraging donations.
 

Breast Cancer Awareness


Organisers held a breast cancer awareness morning tea which raised over $300 for the charity.
 

Movember

 
Right now, CPSU organisers are getting behind the Movember campaign which raise awareness and much needed donations to help with the fight against cancer and depression in men.
