June 23 is World Public Service Day, a day to formally recognise our public servants who devote their professional lives to making our society a better place for everyone.

These public service professionals are our neighbours, our friends and our family. Their success is measured not in profit, but in healthier communities and stronger people.

To all our public servants working across Federal, State and Territory government, you deserve more than just thanks, you deserve fair pay and conditions, secure jobs and manageable workloads and a government that properly supports and values the work that you do.
