CPSU and MEAA bargaining teams have met with the ABC management team to give a preliminary outline of our respective claims.

Detailed discussions will kick off at the next meeting on 20 July with the following items slated for the first round of discussions:

• A fairer system for the payment of overtime, and workloads (both from the Joint Union Log of Claims); and
• The ABC’s proposal for a new salary package arrangement.

ABC reps also confirmed they will be issuing the Notice of Employee Representational Rights (NERR). This is a requirement under the Fair Work Act and signals the employer's commitment to bargain.
