Poor support is an identified hazard in the Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at work.

Poor support can be recognised as a hazard in workplaces where workers are not provided with adequate support (including practical assistance and emotional support) to complete a task or job, or where workers are not provided with adequate training, tools and resources to enable them to perform their role.

The hierarchy of control offers strategies to ensure that employees are protected where it is not reasonably practicable to eliminate risks.
