Remote or isolated work is an identified hazard in the Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at work.
This guidance is written in the context of remote work defined as where workers may be isolated from assistance due to where or when they are working, and the nature of that work, for example in remote locations in solitary conditions, and does not include working from home.
The hierarchy of control offers strategies to ensure that employees are protected where it is not reasonably practicable to eliminate risks.
