The South Australian State election will take place on Saturday, March 17 so it is fast approaching! You can see what the combined union movement, through SA Unions, is seeking in our 2018 Election Platform document: Fairer Workplaces and Stronger Communities.
The document covers our asks on:
- secure jobs including opposing privatisation of public services and regulating the labour-hire industry
- safer and fairer workplaces by introducing wage theft as a criminal offence and increasing penalties for offences that cause workplace deaths
- ensuring a fairer society by tackling issues such as housing affordability and power production and affordability.
Some of our agenda has already been picked up. If you have any questions on the union movements asks, the policies of the various parties, or would like to get involved please contact our office on 08 8150 8400 or by emailing CPSUSA@cpsu.org.au
