International Workers' Day, also known as May Day, is a celebration of unions and workers which occurs every year on 1 May.

Please join us to celebrate May Day and the achievements of CPSU members.

Newcastle May Day March. Sunday 29 April at 10am. Meet at Hamilton Train Station Carpark ready to march at 10.30am down Beaumont St to Gregson Park for celebration and speeches. More info here
NT Darwin March and Concert. Monday 7 May. Meet at CPSU, 38 Woods St at 3.30pm for 4pm start for the march to the Esplanade for the evening concert and food/drinks. Free t-shirts to first 100 CPSU members.

Alice Springs March. Monday 7 May. March with Territory Unions in the Bangtail Muster. Meet up at the union flags at 9.30am for a 10am start. Poster here

Townsville March. Monday 7 May. Meet at 10am at Strand Park, The Strand for 10.30am start. Food and drinks (some for sale) and entertainment from 11am.

SA The May Day March and Solidarity Fair will take place in Adelaide on Saturday 5 May. Members are asked to meet in Victoria Square (Tardanyangga) at 10am for a 10:30am start. We will then march to Light Square (Wauwi) where there will be further speeches, live music and entertainment for the kids. Our theme is Change the Rules so we’re hoping all of our members will be there!
