The National Indigenous Australians Agency has opened consultation on proposals for an Indigenous Voice.
All Australians are invited to have their say and are encouraged to participate in an inclusive consultation process.
The Indigenous Voice proposals are designed to give Indigenous Australians a way to provide advice and input on matters that are important to improve their lives. They are made up of two parts – Local and Regional Voices and a National Voice.
The proposals are the result of a significant amount of work over more than 12 months by more than 52 members across three co-design groups.
Consultation on the proposals will run over the next four months. Click here to read more, have your say, and register for updates.
You can also spread the word by downloading fact sheets, posters and other resources.
Consultation feedback will be used by the co-design groups to refine proposals and inform recommendations and to provide a final report to Government.
