CPSU members understand the value of consultation, more than most.
We believe people should be consulted about changes that affect them - because we have seen how that leads to better outcomes in our workplaces for us and for the communities we serve. The Voice to Parliament will be a representative body (like a consultative committee) that provides advice, wisdom, experience, evidence and solutions to the Federal Parliament. If you support the principle of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people having a say on the laws and policies that affect them, that means voting “yes” at the referendum.
By voting “yes” we commit our parliamentarians to recognise, listen and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
